Some of the worst blizzards ever in the Northeast have been in March (Blizzard of 1888; the 1993 so-called "Storm of the Century"). But huge nor'easters are more typical in February. We had a President's Day weekend storm 3-4 years ago, and a Lincoln's Birthday storm the next, over a foot and a half!
