Thanks! Yes they are VERY big LOL I have no idea how much they weigh now... Blake and Kyrie the larger of the 3 are probably over 35lbs already.. possibly pushing 40 lol Bree is probably in the the low 30's now.. but she was the runt has has always been a few weeks behind the rest as far as maturing goes.
I love lucy! She pickedup 4pts toward her champion a couple weeks ago. Has 5 points now, in only 3 wkends of showing. I'm planning on taking her along with Paris... Cash (who I didn't get a pic of) and MAYBE Blake to the Collie National 2nd week of April...
Blake is sold, but won't be leaving until probably June. He is going to be the new juniors dog for a girl in SC. Her mother has shelties but the daughter wanted a dog of her own to show in juniors as well as conf... and they decided on a smoothie... I'm still trying to decide what I want to do with Bree and Kyrie LOL
If you're gonna breed Collies, don't you forget to breed in the brains and common sense. Without that you won't have a Collie, you'll have just another dog.

Beautiful pictures!!
(I think I'm in love with Bree...)

Oh be still my heart. Blake has always made my heart go pitter-pat and he's beautiful. If wishes were Collie's he'd be a wish come true. I can't believe that you still have those puppies left. Everyone else is beautiful and the scenery is to die for. But there is just something about Blake I can't take my eye off of.
Thanks! Actually Blake is sold.. he just won't leave for a while. He will eventually go to a show/juniors home in SC. The Blue girl MIGHT be going to Michigan! We'll see what works out. I've just been having a hard time deciding who to keep LOL I THINK the little girl (Bree) will be hanging out here for a while. I want to see if she'll grow big enough (she was the runt) because I think she is beautiful but maybe a little to small.... we'll see.

I'm so glad Blake found a good home! I hope his new owner(s) keep in touch with you(and share photos you...so you can share those with us. I'd love to see how he does when he hits the ring!)
What is the height requirement for females in the US? Do you think she's small in frame or in height? What does your instinct tell you to do? Usually instinct is right on target![]()
Well the height standard for bitches is 22-24" tall at the shoulders. However there is no DQ for Collies in the show ring (besides males with missing testicles, which is a DQ for every breed)... so you can show smaller collies or larger ones...
Amy was the same way though. When she was a puppy, she was the runt and much smaller than the rest. I almost sold her to a pet home, the first puppy to go actually, I had someone that wanted her.. because the bigger ones always picked on her. However, she finally grew.. and today she isn't a huge bitch but she isn't tiny. She just took a while to catch up. She ended up being the pick of that litter by far... and this little pup reminds me of her.... Amy is one of the nicest bitches I have, IMO! even though she refuses to show! LOL
The people that handle my dogs for me at shows when I can't go have seen them fairly recently and think she looks fine, actually they think she is really pretty... but I see her all the time so I don't notice her growing like they do I guess???? we'll see...

Don't feel bad. It was in the mid thirties in FL last night and today was in the high fifties and tonight it's like 40 or 45 - by the end of the week, they are predicting 80 degrees. *sigh*
That always happens, you'll always see her as your puppy and then one day you'll look at her and say "Where did my puppy go?!" Bree has turned out to be beautiful as well. Although I still love Blake (and hope he does well!) I think Bree may be the second best. She is refined and feminine, and from what I can see from the photos, has good muscle tone. Kyrie may set you a part in the ring because of her facial markings (she has a very beautiful head). That was one of the things I had liked about Blake, was his headpiece.
But I think the correct question would be, who would add more to your breeding program? Who do you feel of the two is where you want to be? (does this make sense?) I always hear "breed for 3 generations out." Well, can you picture either Kyrie or Bree having a litter? Who do you feel fits the standard more? Take a look at your other dogs that have pointed, or your competition and see why x dog won - what set them a part?
