It's amazing how much "pet" looks like "cat" when you just got out of bed and don't have your glasses on, LOL![]()

I LOVE his photos! What a beautiful baby!
You are right, he had MANY more years with you than he would have had if you didn't notice the empty window. He was loved the best, and felt no pain; he just didn't wake up.
Play happy at the Bridge, Montego. And keep an eye on the new babies - I think the one named "Havoc" is going to need some extra watching!
Hugs and condolences to you. You did the right thing, and the right thing is always hard.

Thats the saddest thing that we have to face as Cat Lovers to know when its time to say goodbye.
I have had to do things with Several Found Cats , and the pain is so intense and you second guess yourself for a long time afterwards.
But you are right , no Animal wants to live in pain and discomfort especially if theres no real cure.
Now Montengros RVING it with the Animal Angel Army in Texas, and will find your very own place in the sun, where you can be friends again furrever.

I'm sorry to read about the passing of your Montego-kitty. So many of us on PT have had to make that decision to help our furkids to the Rainbow Bridge and it's never easy. Rest assured that you did the right thing; as painful as it is now, you'll be comforted w/memories soon enough. RIP, Montego-kitty and peace to your human.![]()
Blessings,

We feel your pain.... but I agree with the others here, you did the right thing. We have a cat who successfully had the major surgery for megacolon, but he was THREE when he had the surgery- not 10 or 12..... if he'd been even 7 or 8, the vet said, the odds went way down, it would be a lousy bet, a very tough recovery, and probably not a real great life for you OR him....... you did right, you helped your Montego to the Bridge instead of setting him up for a long, tough, and probably-not-too-successful recovery...... he's happy and safe and in NO discomfort now, and you had many, many years together that he wouldn't've had at all if YOU hadn't saved him from a needless death-sentence. Be thankful and happy for that- and KNOW that he was, and is.....
Sleep peacefully, Montego- you were a handsome, happy guy with a very loving family....let them know you're OK, if you can.....
My deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved Montego. What a beautiful boy!
Rest in peace, dear Montego.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
