    Awww poor Cassy. Taz feels your pain. The other night I got home and Bruce said he would have fed Taz but he couldn't find him. WHAT!?!? I went into panic mode. But he wanted me to fix the salad for dinner. So while I rushed through that I thought of the places to look for him. But Bruce already began looking and found him shut in the coat closet. He said it'd been about 5 hours since he'd got his coat out to run errands earlier.
    Taz must have been comfy in there because neither of us heard him meow or anything while we were calling out his name. He probably thought - ahhhhh, a break from the rest of the furry critters.
    That is not the first time he's been shut up somewhere. He's been out in the garage almost all night and in the spare bedroom all night too. Not to mention his little escapade under the house for a few hours.
    So you're not an evil meowmy at all. Cassy is just wanted a little excitement for the day.
    Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

    Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

    Aw, sorry but I was laughing, not because it happened but because mine could never get caught in there. Trust me, it's not because I'm all that wonderful either, it's because they have a built on safety mechanism, they're lard butts (lovingly) and the door would pop right back open leaving me to wonder why!

    I think you've more than made up for it, you aired a public apology and gave treats and love accordingly.

    No way you are an "evil" cat mommy. Never happen. It's just that they are so FAST! Archy always tries to slip out into the garage (why, I don't know, it's cold and dark) and I have caught him many times sneaking out the door. But there have been lots of times he got right by me and I've had to round him up later.

    At least Cassy was someplace safe and decided to make his voice heard!
    Loving meowmie to Archy & Binky (RIP my sweet boy 10/13/10)

    =^..^=

    Awwwww dear Cassy, do not blame your meowmie, she didn't do that on purpose...!! She is even more chocked than you ; so go and jump on her lap and give her a big warm cuddle, with a kissie on her nose!! I bet she will that
    I miss you enormously Sydney, Maya, Inka & Zazou Be happy there at the Rainbow Bridge

    lol I almost did that once, but he let me know in time. what I do from time to time, is step on a paw or a tail, then there is a screech!! and then I try to comfort the cat and apoligize, but the cat usually will hear none of it, he or she runs away with me after it saying oh I'm sorry...( cats name)... come here sweetie, it was an accident, etc etc. usually after a few minutes I can coax the cat back to me and I pick him or her up and talk to and pet the kitty and gently rub the paw or tail, whichever was stepped on. I am usually pretty careful but sometimes one of the many will get under my feet quicker than I can move away!

    I hate to think of HOW Many times First Kat Fred and Boots da Kat managed
    to get "lost" in the Ranch ... and they NEVER seemed to learn from the experiences!

    * Fred climbed up a ladder and got "lost" in the attic insulation, then crawled out
    over the front porch ceiling.
    ("Lost" for several hours; "tracked" through the insulation; "recovered" with difficulty -
    and "repeated" the Dumm Stunt the next weekend!)

    * Fred spent a day in the dresser with my warm from the dryer undies -
    "saved" by an inquiring First Shepherd Casey ... "Hey Dad - why's the dresser *Meowin*??"

    * Both Fred & Boots managed to:
    ** Fall into the toilet as kittens
    ** Fall into the FILLED top-loading clothes washer
    ** Take a "ride" in the clothes dryer

    They both insisted on exploring any area that was normally closed off with a door -
    * kitchen cabinets
    * closets
    * entertainment center
    * basement
    * favorite = bathroom closet (storage area for the Kitty Krunch tub)

    The Big Rub was neither one of 'em would "answer" with a "Meow" when
    lost and and quite able to hear the Hoomin calling their name!

    They both spent MANY days behind closed doors when the Hoomin went
    to work and didn't know they were "missing".

    And the Goofie MUTTS have pulled a few similar Dumm Stunts!
    (And THEY can't remember to *BARK* when they hear their names, either! )
