Scott, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, you dear sweet man for allowing Barney to come in from the cold. You sound just like my hubby though. He kicks up a stink and will say NO, but in the end gives in, because his heart won't allow any animal to be cold or hungry.

Lara, please do not feel guilty for anything that you have done for our Barney. Personally, I thought what a lovely set up you had for him from the beginning and as the temperatures started to drop, you provided more heat and comfort for him. I don't think you could have done anymore for this sweet boy than what you have already done.
God knows how much longer this sweet boy has, but because of you and your dear hubby, he has warmth, good food, care and most of all love. It's too bad that he doesn't realize the love he has from all over the world.

Seriously! I agree 100%! You have nothing to feel guilty about. You did everything but turn over the deed to your house to Barney. LOL That boy knows how loved he is and he was comfortable until it got to be so bitter cold and when it did, you stepped in and handled it, Lara and Scott. No worries. No worries whatsoever. What a Merry Christmas this will be for all of you and for us on PT, too, knowing that Barn-Barn is safe and warm and snuggly.
    Blessings,
    Mary

I so agree with the above posts - Lara, you have gone beyond what many others would do, and Barney is as comfy as he can get.

    Merry Christmas sweet Barney!

OK, I'm supposed to be working but you could shoot a cannon through here so I decided to catch up on this thread and read the last couple of weeks worth of posts.

I'm at a loss for words. LES.....major LES...the videos put me over the edge. I have tears streaming down my face. How do you do it??? I don't think I could ever be as strong as you. You have done so much for this little guy....no little kitty could ever ask for more. Thanks to you he's warm and dry with a full tummy, getting the vet care he needs and giving and receiving as much love as his little heart can handle.

Bless you and Scott and I'm sorry your trip got cancelled but I can now see it's for the best. I would have done the same thing. Time spent with Barney now is what's important.

.....and to think you all are only a couple of ferry rides away from me....

Merry Christmas and Happy Mew Year!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

    Thanks for all the posts.
Here is a quick video of the snow and Barney cruising around the house a bit on Christmas Eve day.

Awww...how sweet! That's a lot of snow! I'm glad we got to see your puppies! As always it is so nice to see Barney! I noticed what you had been saying about his legs while he was eating. I love seeing him follow you from room to room. THANKS for all you've done and for sharing him with us!
