I looked at this thread because the Wal-Mart nearest to me just started selling beer a couple of months ago. They don't offer wine, though. I think the corporation is trying to convert this one to a "Super" where they carry a full line of groceries. The food items they do sell (snack foods, boxed, canned and frozen) are usually cheaper than the supermarket, bottled water usually is and a gallon of milk always is.

We can't buy any alcohol ecept in licensed stores. When I lived in Oregon for a short time, it always seemed weird that you could get it in the grocery store.

I love what it stands for. When I went there in the summer I bought 3 whites and they were all fantastic. Their 2007 Reisling is the best I've had, and I normally prefer dry whites.
Burrowing Owl is the best for Merlot. http://www.bovwine.ca They are trying to preserve land for the burrowing owls in the area, which I also greatly admire.
