He looks great considering what he's been through.Starr had the same kind of e-collar but ended up tearing his up. Some of my other cats were afraid of it too. They thought he looked weird. What does Paizly think of it?

The pic of Taz w/the collar cracked me up! His facial expression says it all. I'm glad that he's doing well, though. Think you can relax a bit now?

Yes, I will be leaving the collar on until we get the staples out. Which will be next Monday. So seven more days of the icky collar.
I think he's getting used to it. Although, last night he fought me hard to not get it put back on. I look at that as a good thing. It means he's feeling better.
So Taz is pretty much all better and well on his road to recovery. Now we can all focus on Barney, Andy and Ms Pidgelet.
Thank you so much for all the support! I have no idea how I managed without Pet Talk before.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Actually Paizly hasn't seen him with it on. She hasn't really seen him at all. He is confined to the bedroom and when he was out today Paizly was snoozing in the "doghouse" (a spare room off the studio).
At night Paizly goes in her bedroom, Taggart goes in the kennel (which is in our bedroom/Taz's room) and Taz and Zoee get to share the big bed with us. Which is the original way it was, so that's good.Eventually Taggart will get to sleep out of the kennel, but not until he's 110% potty trained.
Zoee has seen Taz with the collar on and was very curious. That is until Taz swatted at her. LOL
And yes, Mary, I am much more relaxed now.I will be completely relaxed once he gets the staples out. I'm paranoid of the incision getting infected like Paizly's spay incision did. I also hate him having to wear that collar.
It breaks my heart to see him slink around and bump into things. But the soft collar is MUCH better than the hard plastic ones.
ETA: I am home alone (well without other human) and so I can't be in the bedroom with Taz to let him have the collar off and in the other part of the house with Taggart to avoid any potty accidents. So I let Taz out of the room with the collar on. Paizly hissed a hiss at him like I've never heard from her. She sorta honked at him. I am pretty sure it was because of the collar.
