That's great news that he's home!! Sounds like he's a good boy when it comes to taking his meds.

A speedy recovery to you, Taz!

    Thank you Kirsten!
And Katie, you have a lot on your mind right now. To even take a minute to post for my guy means so much to me. You are such a special person.

So I called the vet to ask about the meds. The girl I spoke to was in San Mateo, not the Concord office. She had to contact the Concord office and then get back to me. She calls me back after she looked up his chart and asked if I gave him 1cc. NO! I think I can read. I gave him between .1 and .2cc. She wanted to make sure I didn't overdose him. Geez, Bruce said the exact same thing last night.
So I went to the vet to pick up more meds and the nurse had syringes already full of the exact dosage. Why is everyone thinking I'm overdosing my damn cat!?! This hurt my feelings. They don't realize that Taz is my BABY.
Anyway, I've got more meds in case he needs it. I just want him to be comfortable. He's already irritated and keeps trying to come out of the room, but I don't want him running around out here.
He loves it when I take his collar off and let him clean his face and paws. I only leave it off of him while I'm right there with him so I can make sure he doesn't lick the incision. Last night he was Mr Sneaky and was licking on the other side of his leg where I couldn't see. Brat!
Oh, he was hissing at Paizly under the bedroom door. I guess it will be like starting all over again with the two of them once Taz is all healed up. That's okay though. My little man is going to be okay!!!

And I do owe a ton of HUGE thank you's to everyone here on PT for helping me through this.

They're probably just protecting themselves by measuring it out for you. Actually, I'm always thankful when they do that for me. Saves me the work and my eyesight, too. LOL I understand why you feel the way you do, though. Most importantly, Taz is on the mend.
    Blessings,

    Welcome Home, Taz!!!!!

I'm so glad to hear that he's home now. My Storm is always very grumpy after he's been to the vet too. My vet's office actually marks the syringe with a red marker so that I'll know exactly how much medicine to give my furkids. I think it's a great idea. I hope that Taz heals up quickly and that his incision area doesn't become too itchy or uncomfortable.

    Pics? Pics?

When he's feeling better, I guess.

Did the surgeon say what she thought the cysts were once she had them out? I gather they are kind of unusual.

Ok, here are a few pictures of my little man.
Please excuse the dirty floors in them, I've been preoccupied with him and Taggart this week.

So here is a good one of his belly. Sorry it's dark. The incision is hiding under that fold of skin there in the middle. LOL

I let him out to the rest of the house while the dogs were outside this afternoon. He was wanting to get out of that room for a while.

And this is him modeling the lovely collar he must wear when I'm not with him.
Can't you tell he loves it?

That's it for now. I can't wait to get some of him once he is healed up and has all his hair back on his tummy.

He looks great considering what he's been through. Starr had the same kind of e-collar but ended up tearing his up. Some of my other cats were afraid of it too. They thought he looked weird. What does Paizly think of it?

PInk Tummy! Taz, you look just so handsome...and you are feeling well enough to show attitude with the collar!

I hope you feel better soon and never have to deal with those silly cyst things again. BYE BYE! to them forever!
