    Puck, I believe so...

Lets hope race does NOT blind HIM in doing the right thing... Hopefully it wont.

For me? No. I would LOVE to see a woman president or vice president, but didn't agree with Palin on many issues.

You can't deny that it is historic in the respects that Grace mentioned.

Here's to a woman president/vice president in the very near future!!

Sparks, you are right. I'm sure McCain is a very nice man and his speech is very good.

John McCain - what a class act. As I'm certain Barack Obama would have been if the situation was reversed.

No, and yes. It saddens me that you can't see what I see. If Sarah Palin had been elected VP, I would have said something similar about her being the first woman elected to that office.

I'm really disappointed in you, Brian. Perhaps it is because you're so young.

I am sorry Gretchen... But after seeing and hearing what I did about what happened in Philadelphia... I fear race was a MAJOR issue in the choice of many people. Very sad.

Like many have said about Palin.... They would support a woman President, just not Palin. I would support a black President, just not Obama.

Young? 3 Combat tours. 5 years of post seconday education. I am proud of what I have been through in my 34 (almost 35) years.

The more I think about Puckstop's remarks, the angrier I get.

I would NEVER vote for a candidate for office simply because s/he is black, white, polka dot, female. And that is exactly what he implied.

Don't get pissed off at me. I would NEVER vote for anyone based on race.

Not what I implied. I was commenting on what somebody ELSE said.

    Do NOT slander me.

And what of the whites that voted for McCain because they didn't want a black man as president? Playing the race card goes both ways.

It kind of seemed to me that you implied that Grace and I voted based on race after we made the historic remarks.

    No arguement here...

Indeed, Obama's election is historic. But if race does not matter? WHY is it historic?

Please belive me when I say it... Race has ZERO do do with my choices in life. Z...E...R...O. The FINEST human being I ever knew just happened to be a black guy. My platoon sergeant from my Somalia deployment.

So please, pretty please, do not misunderstand me on this...
