"PT's Obama's supporters sure get themselves worked up when anything is posted indicating that Obama was wronged in any way but fail to see any wrongs committed when the tables are turned."

I agree this is a broad generalization and I see it's been acknowledged as such. I am a Obama supporter. I think stealing signs shows a lack of respect of property and personal expression. I too have used my ignore button on several occassions and am avoiding the DH due to the lack of respect I've seen on posts here. Interestingly not one of the above posters are on that list I will say that reading some of the other threads, my opinion on a few people has changed. Some for better, most for worse.
    Is it Wed yet?

Me too. Those posting as of this moment have been agreeable and, though I have differed on things with them in the past, there has been a mutual respect which has grown over the years. The "offender" has not posted in this thread and, should they, I will not know what was said as I can't read it. (Love that little feature!) Let me just say that I am not for either candidate. I do not like McCain but my dislike for Obama runs much, much deeper. I wanted Ron Paul to get the nomination (wishful thinking) but the Republicans will have to deal with who they selected and unfortunately will probably lose.

    Another link to the video.

I really wanted to see the kid flop on the floor like a flounder out of water.
As it is, it wasn't as 'tragic' as people would lead you to think.

    First,

If I had come home and told my parents that I was shocked trying to steal a sign, they would have both kicked the living shiat out of me, then made me go back and apologize to the man for even thinking about stealing, then when I got home they would have kicked the shiat outta me again, just in case I forgot on the way home.

Incredible chutzpah for that dad to come back and even think about complaining.

    Moron.

Here's my problem with the whole political sign problem.

    First of all,
To pay 10 bucks for a sign that someone is going to steal, egg your house over, get shocked or killed over-Someone did get shot, I didn't get where, I just saw the story posted today- is kinda lame.

I look at it like wearing the low rider jeans with the underwear brand name on the elastic waist band.

It's that phony, "Look at Who I Wear!" attitude that no one cares about. Then it happens to a grade schooler, they get a wedgie from the tough guys on campus- it is an assault- but you can really have avoided the whole problem buy keeping your pants pulled up and not inviting trouble in the first place. Joe Boxer, Klein and all the other undie designers are like politicians, They really could give a loaded diaper about you, as long as you 'buy/support" them by spending precious time or money on making them huge.

After they get your money or vote, you are no longer needed until the next election or the elastic stretches on your shorts.

    Now my next peeve?

I really love it when people spend 10 bucks on a sign thats printed up by the local 666 printer's union and the steel stands welded up by Iron Workers/Teamsters-way to keep the economy going. I laugh even harder when I see them turned insider out and being used to promote stuff after the election-

    YARD SALE
    1234 MAIN
    10/31 to 11/3

    Or

    For Sale
    83 plymoth duster
    300 or obo?
    Runz good/a.c./8trk

Even better when the losers are banned to "recycled sign heaven"
The one thing that bugs me is the idiots that staple the poly signs on telephone poles about 12 feet above ground.

They drive a car next to the pole, climb on the roof and staple their hearts away. I have to look at "Ace Hoole- 37th Assembly - A vote for your town!"
sign until the first week of May 2009 now that ultraviolet light has shredded it up enough for it to fall off the pole, into the sewer and down to the ocean for a turtle to swallow the plastic shards and die.

Yep, Strut you party, affiliation, your candidate, but for crap's sake, clean up after yourselves. You care about recycling, pollution and trash in the streets, but it's back to being irresponsible on November 5th.

    Amazing.

And please don't be surprised when I laugh at your 8 year old political bumpersticker. Well, at least to take your trash with you!

Is that the same union you belonged to? The one that is representing you in the pursuit of your grievance?

    Curious minds want to know!
