My comp adjusted itself automatically. I changed it back.

It doesn;t matter, I was just curious.

I just checked my clock on the comp and on the wall....It's 8.40 and the time stamp says 7.42

    RICHARD ~

If your 'puter already went back to "Standard Time" - it sounds like you're
missing the latest Daylight Saving corrective patch.

Are you running a Windows Operating System? (Vista or XP ?)
If so, read these Windows Help files:

    1) http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cp_DST

    2) http://support.microsoft.com/gp/dst_prodlist

I have the ancient windows OS. It's not a biggie, My OS let me know that the time changed, I changed it back- I really don't use the comp clock anyway.

I was just curious about the time stamp on the posts and was wondering about it.

    THANKS!

Most all Web pages that display clocks rely on YOUR computer's internal clock
to be set to the proper local time
    AND
to be set to the proper Time Zone and Daylight Saving On/Off status.

Then the Web page can tell your 'puter what time to display.
