My RB peke-a-poo Charmin was on phenolbarbitol nearly all her life. She started seizures after she gave birth at under a year old and she lived to be 18 1/2 w/no side effects. I'm certainly not telling you what to do, just that there are success cases w/it w/out the side effects. Prayers continuing here in Ohio.....

But like I said, it's not needed yet, so I know the option is out there.
