I don't care so much for smart, I want wise. The POTUS can hire really SMART, expert people to put around him/her. I want a wise person who will take that advice and make wise choice.

James Buchanan was perhaps the smartest President to ever take office. Yet led us to Civil War.

All the brains of Woodrow Wilson... Yet he was the first overtly fascist President in US history. (I believe the next is coming soon....)

I believe our nation is where it is right now, in great part, due to the fact that we all now value "knowledge" over wisdom. Now this is not to say that knowledge is a bad thing. But when not used wisely, knowledge can destroy.

    Oppenheimer...
    Vladimir Lenin...
    Benito Mussolini...

    Etc....

    Oh come on...

THAT is how you choose to respond? What did you mean by "brains" then? (Or, how would 99% of readers translate 'brains', in this context.) Granted, not a really fair question now that certain context has been applied, but I would still like to know.

Just came in from a motorcycle ride. Saw two teenage girls pull up to a stop light...one jumped out and grabbed two political signs out and ran off with them.

Thankfully they were only proposition signs! Should I have called the police??

Could you please pay attention! You should have shot them! Otherwise you are condoning the whole damn thing and letting our rights get stomped all over!

Yes she should have called the cops, its not her property. Way to take things out of context.

Not reaching at all. You may think it is right or OK to steal from somebody, I do not. You may think it is acceptable to violate the rights of your neighbor, I do not.

I do agree shooting someone for stealing your sign is way over the top, but where do we draw the line? If I have a "Posted No Trespassing" sign on my property, you can expect to be shot by entering my property uninvited.
