I do not live in a low income neighborhood. My neighbors are Dr. Dentist, lawyer, computer progamers all white collar professionals. I know both couples, both are retired in their 60's professionals. No one was going to get bashed or their car keyed.
We are suppose to be America the United for one and all. Yes we disagree on whom shall be best to lead this country. Hence the signs. (LOL I don't care what any of you think it was very very funny.) Instead people are fighting and name calling and saying bad things, lies, half truths about both canidates. They are both good, intelligent, kind, hardworking, gifted people as are their wives. They disagree on what is best for us, we have the right to decide who will win. Many people died and are continuing to die for that right. Lets not soil it folks. Do I think Bush was the worst president ever, you bet, but American citizens have the right to vote for whomever they choose? The ballets are after all filled with a million men and woman's blood. So lets smile and try and be kind. And yea it was so funny.

Sorry Marigold, I laughed through your whole post. I did find it hilarious and didn't understand why the others thought it was so wrong. Out here it would be considered the funniest joke on the street. I was going to respond and say how I thought it was the greatest joke yet, but my buzzer went off and I had to close...happens a lot in my life...
Just so you know, I think your joke was funnier than the bickering over things we have no control over no matter how mad we might get.

As I'm Danish I had to look this up, but I had a feeling it was what I thought it would be:

(Amendment II) to the United States Constitution is a part of the United States Bill of Rights that protects the pre-existing individual right to possess and carry weapons (i.e. "keep and bear arms") in case of confrontation....

How sick... to threathen people with firearms for things like this! For me, these signs simply comfirm that the Obama supporter is a lot more intelligent than the Mc Cain supporter.

    Randi,

You should see the things that stupid Americans do to each other with
Ordinary kitchen utensils, Fists, Automobiles, Baseball bats, Sticks, Bottles.

Another thing about Stupid Americans is that we have no respect for for each other, property, space and rights.

When we see something that bothers us, like a political sign, we stoop to the level of immature, ignorant and malicious children. We steal or vandalize things, then have to resort to threats when people take it upon themselves to "fix" something they cannot handle.

Be thankful you do not live in a society where people will scratch a car's paint because they see a political bumpersticker that they do not agree with, on it.

IT's a sad commentary about our society, Things would not get out of hand if people just respected each other and their property. You will hear about someone getting hurt or killed over a stupid sign for a stupid candidate.

And you know, It shouldn't happen.

People just have to behave. I can see why most of the world hates us.

Randi, I believe the "far right" Republicans have gone over the top much more
in this election. I also think it's a matter of desparation on their part & maybe
because they lack clear answers to the economic mess this country is in now.

    AH, ah, ah,

Don't forget to add the Democrats, who have control of the House of Representin' and have been totally impotent for a while.

Now, if only we could make those pesky GOP senators impotent, too.

  15. As long as it is Silly Sunday....

The Obama backer blamed "you"...after all...who really knows? It could have been teenagers having "fun" or a Bob Barker Backer...or...

    And their solution was...non-violent.

The McCain backer blamed "Obama supporters"...Do they know that for a fact or just assume?

And their solution is to threaten violence.

So...Obama backers have a sense of humor, do not jump to conclusion and look for solutions that do not involve violence.

McCain backers on the other hand....
