My rig...The Little Blue Pill, a 1993 Ford Festiva. Gets about 47 mpg

Shes lived through more than any car should, and I love her to death. Even if she stops being my daily driver, I hope to have her when Nick turns 16 so he can at least experience it once

I got the Festiva from a co-worker for $500 with a busted winshield...a little over $2000 in parts got it running with double its stock horsepower and 50 mpg on the highway. Its running like crud now because it desperately needs a tune up . I feel so bad abusing my little car...Ive put more miles on it in the last 8 months than I have in the past couple of years .

Saabs are good cars, Abbygirl. Its just a pain in the butt getting parts

    Sectumsempra:

    1994 Jeep Cherokee

Notice the unfortunate lack of luggage rack most Cherokees have, and the dent in the front. (I, um, did that. ) She also gets about 15mpg.
My step-dad gave her to me. He bought her new in '94.

If I could, I'd trade her for this as long as it was running!

I had a 90 2 door Larado, with a modified roof rack for my little raft.

DJF, I'm glad to see the blue pill is still among the living. That car has had more lives than a cat!

Indeed it does! The check engine light is coming on when I go over 55 now...which means she needs a new O2 sensor, plugs and wires (probibly a cap and rotor too )
She needs an oil change too now that I think about it. Sigh...

Oyster, my first car was a 96 Cherokee sport. It wasn't 4wd and someone dropped a high performance motor into it so it would go REALLY fast! I got pulled over once when a cop PACED me at 160
Acording to his radar I passed him at a bit under 180...it WAS 3am on the lonliest strech of road in the tri-county area so he let me go with a "make sure you watch your tach especially since your spedomiter only goes to 85" lecture and a warning lol. He said he wouldn't have bothered to pull me over since I wasn't weaving or anything but we passed his supervisior who was hidden on the highway access road...
