Hi everyone. It was nice to hear from you all again.

About Emmy...she's a kitty who showed up at my parents' about 3 years ago...just a few months before I got married. I was still living at home at the time. My mom fed her the first time she showed up, and she never left. We tried many times to bring her inside, but she seems to have something against being brought into the house. She will come to the door and let us pet her...as long as she is outside the door, and we're inside. I can manage to hold her if I'm quick enough, but she always struggles to get away. The few times I brought her inside, she screamed and howled and jumped 6 feet into the air (seriously), crying to go back outside. Eventually we just decided to respect her wishes and let her live where she feels comfortable...out in the backyard and in the front porch. We feed her everyday and she considers the yard her home. She's always there. She knows all of the family cars and comes running behind us everytime we come home. Besides being a little skittish, she's a really sweet kitty, and usually very calm. She and the tiels have no relationship other than staring at each other from the window, however, I have never seen her show any aggression towards birds. We have birds in the yard all the time who sit and eat HER food, right beside her, and she stays at least 6 feet away from them, acting like she's scared. I usually take the tiels with me to my parents' whenever I go to visit, and they like to look at each other through the window. We didn't get her as a pet, but she seems to have chosen my family as her own...in her own way. I personally think she's beautiful.

She prefers not to get too close to us when we're outside. The extreme closeup I got of her was by using the zoom on my camera. Its 15x optical zoom.

Besides that, the tiels are doing well. I've had them for 9 years now. Its really hard to believe how fast time flies. They've been with me through so much, and as the years go by, I love them more and more. We haven't had any eggs again...its been about 8 months since she laid for the first time.

Married life is good. I can't believe its already been 3 years since we met.

Its hard to find time to roam about PT like I used to. Maybe, just maybe the next time you'll get a nice new thread from me will be when we're expecting another new family member. Don't know when that will be though.

Hello, hello, hello! How good to "see" you again PCB! I rushed through the thread and the marvelous photos to see if there was "exciting" family news???

I do remember Emma. She has the same notched ear my Shirley had. Perhaps it is a sorority thing?
