If anyone judged you for this they should be ashamed. When I posted a thread about putting Sassy to sleep, I didn't know what to expect. I mean arthritis is not a life-threatening illness. But you know, when you have tried everything and nothing worked, what else can you do? Let the dog suffer? Now, then I'd judge you. Your parents did the right thing for sweet Rosie. I am so sorry it had to come to this though. RIP sweet girl. May you finally be in complete bliss. How is Anna coping? You could tell how close those two were.

Rachel, I posted in the thread in DG, but I wanted to come here and express my condolences to you again.
The pictures you've posted of Rosie are so nice. Such a great way to remember her. And the drawing Amy did......amazing!

    RIP Rosie.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Thank you. Oh, Anna is looking for her. She is confused why she is alone now. She was used to having Rosie bother her. I am going to miss that.. they were close with each other, but Rosie would freak more if it was Anna's time.. so, you know in a way, I am glad it wasn't that way.

My dad is very heartbroken, he wants to get another dog, but not right now, obviously, but it is in his mind.

I'm so sorry Rachel. I left you a post in dog general, I was just shocked to see Rosie's name there. It's so hard to loose them. Hugs to sweet Anna, too.

Rachel, I love your new siggie. The picture of Rosie snuggled so comfortably on the cloud by the Rainbow bridge brought tears to my eyes. I hope she is resting so comfortably and serenely until the one she was most connected to comes to see her across the bridge.

I know your heart must be broken, not to have been there. I'm so very sorry. Your sweet Rosie has always held a special place in my heart. She had such a loving, sweet face. No one will judge you. I had that happen to a cat of mine a long time ago. Very difficult decision but you know it was the right one. I hope her passing was peaceful. There are plenty of PT dogs that, I'm sure, gave her a warm welcome. With tears running down my face, I know the sadness. A little piece of me dies with every loss of one of our PT animals. Rosie will always be near to you. Keep her close in your heart.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.

Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

My favorite picture of Anna & Rosie, the first couple days at home when she was 8 weeks old and Anna was just starting to warm up to her:

I am so sorry I didn't see this until now.
Its obvious your girl was so very loved. You can see it in her eyes, how they are so warm and loving. I have always been fond of little miss Rosie, something about her pictures draws me in, she seems like a wonderful friend.

I, too, can imagine Rosie and Frisk playing together at the RB. Just imagine, they are young and pain-free again. The thought alone makes me smile through the tears.

Sending good vibes to you and all of your family (including Anna). ((((Hugs)))) all around.

I'm so sorry about Rosie I just now am seeing this and I am so very sorry for you and your family. Rosie had a very kind face, a very gentle expression. I can tell she was a sweet heart and I can tell she was very loved.

I hope you and your family feel just a bit better every day. Rosie is happy and Rosie is free from pain now, she will always be waiting for you and ready to greet you....your little angel.

That photo of her sleeping on the cloud made me cry as well. What a lovely, perfect, fitting signature Amy made for you.

Hugs to you and your family.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Rosie was a beautiful soulful girl. I know the hole she left will take time to heal, but may knowing she is pain-free at the bridge and will greet you again someday bring you some comfort.

Thank you also for sharing the beautiful pictures of her. She had the most kissable little head.

I'm so sorry to hear that sweet Rosie has gone to the Rainbow Bridge.
She was such a cute little beagle girl.
I know how hard is it to lose a beloved pet after so many years together.
    RIP sweet Samantha

    Thanks everyone..

It's still hard.. I still tear up about her.. I just know she's in a better place, but she has left a huge hole in my heart right now. I just can't imagine not EVER seeing her again and I know that will hit me when I return home and that is when reality will really sink in.
