No, he seems to be acting normal. He's eating and using the cat box normally too. There doesn't seem to be pain in the bumps. I've rubbed around on them and he doesn't flinch.

    Thanks Moesha.

Well, I'm going to go try to sleep my troubles away. I'll check in bright and early to see if anyone has any more ideas.
I'm thinking I'm going to take him to a different vet. Or call mine first and tell her. Maybe see if I can email these pix to her. She's going to get sick of me. It's sad when the receptionist recognizes my voice when I call, LOL.
    This is so frustrating!!!

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

No, there's nothing there except the buldges. No loss of hair, no scabs, nothing. I've rubbed around on them several times. I thought maybe he was blocked up. But don't they not eat when they are blocked? And he is still pottying just fine. I've been checking the box closely since this started. Even in the past he'll go a day without pooping, but never more than one day.

    Sigh.....

ETA: Karen, it's not that she doesn't take me seriously. It's just that there was nothing for her to see when he was in there. I think these pictures may help, but I'm sure she'll still want to see him. I guess I'll have to break out the plastic......again. At least I get paid Monday.

Come on kids.......let's just be healthy please!!! Zoee, don't even think about taking a trip to the vet young lady!!

Cindy, no that does NOT look normal. It may be nothing, or may be something. I would bring him back in, and demand xrays. I know it is pricey, but that would scare the Heck outta me.

Does it feel kinda Gushy when you feel it, when you give it a little pinch?

Is it tight? or does the inside move freely?

    Thank you so much Michelle!

The bulges are very evident in the pics and I think it's a great idea to email them to the clinic and then call and leave a message on their machine asking the receptionist to check the email and pass it along to the vet. I sent videos of my cat to the vet over the last year and it helped the vet see what he was like at home because he was worse when he was relaxed.

It almost seems like it's air/gas?? Maybe he is having an issue with his lungs or a reaction to a food? It is really interesting that it is on both sides and relatively equal as well. Xrays should show something. Prayers for Taz and hoping this mystery is solved soon. I'm sure glad you got the pics because I'm sure it was frustrating when you saw the lumps and then they disappeared. Now you have proof!

Is this the same way it looked last time or is this different? I was thinking last time that it appeared in one spot ... more like a small abscessed area from a wound or something. This being on the abdomen and on both sides worries me. Has he been hiding out more ... like wanting to be off to himself?

I would get him to the vet and get him/her to do a belly tap for fluid.

Except for the fact that you say the lumps are appearing, disappearing and reappearing, they look like fatty tumors to me. If you can get ahold of it and sort of move it around a little, it's probably a fatty tumor. If it's rock hard, probably not. Definitely email these pix to your vet and keep after her until she's able to see and feel the lumps. We'll say a special prayer for Taz and you that all will be well.
    Blessings,
    Mary
