Hey hey. I'm glad I could make it for some of the fun.It was nice talking to people and getting to know them. Sorry for Logan, I haven't seen him all summer, but before the summer, I swear he was a nice dog. Lol Who knows what can happen in the course of four months though. I love all the pictures!!! I hope we can do this again sometime, and if we can make it to the memorial day one (that would be my husband and I :-D :-D :-D) I'm excited for you guys to meet him and him to even go to the dog park. Lol

Sherri,
We live on the north side of Findlay so going to BG's dog park was almost as easy as going to Findlays. Especially since the car goes faster and the dogs don't get excited at every turn, every stop light, every stop sign. The last time I went was a couple of years ago. WE first started going because it was easier for Amy to meet us there with her dogs than her coming all the way to Findlay. We were lucky enough that usually we could use the one with the agility equipment. The upside of theirs was Findlay's was always muddy in the winter and spring. Theirs is in a grass field and stays nice all winter. The downside is that they have no entrance area - you have to unlock the gate while holding 4, 5,6 dog leashes who all either want to get in or don't and are going every which way. And sometimes the locks were not the best and it took several tries. I "lost" a dog every now and then and chasing them was not my idea of fun. One of the reasons I quite going was that because they are not used as much as Findlay's rabbits use them for their bathrooms and they dogs would not stop eating their droppings and occasionally we would find a nest and it is very hard to keep Taggert away from a nest of baby bunnies. After we got Pippi, we took her up there and she ate (sorry this is so gross) way too much bunny droppings and came home and threw it up on my carpet. I also was not working then so I could take them every day either place I wanted. I liked BGs alot but then with the bunny problem and they started letting the agility equipment go down hill so we quit going. At registration, they give you a little plastic tag with a number in it and you have to wear it on their collar (although we never saw anyone ever check). People were always asking me what the number meant. It may be different now but very few people use that dog park. We would sign up late in the season and yet our dogs had relatively low numbers like in the 50's or whatever.
The dog warden is right next door. A lady is the head warden. She got so used to hearing all my dogs bark when we arrived that she knew when we were there and she would come out and wave or come over and talk a little.
As an aside the van we used to drive did not have tinted windows. Before Pippi and her nervous, jumpy ways, the dogs would sit in the car like kids. 3 in the rear seat, 2 on the middle or if I was alone with them 1 upfront with me (Snoopy). People would drive by on 75 and just look and stare and point. It was hilarious to see them all just sitting up like that and I am sure if I saw a car like that I would have pointed and laughed too. One time I had to stop in BG and get gas with them all in the car. Someone asked me if I was doing doggy day care. They were shocked when I said they were all mine!
If you want to know more or want me to go with you to check it out some evening or weekend day, pm me and I'll give you my phone number. The park office is a little difficult to find too but I would be glad to take a road trip with you. Not too long ago we went by and it looked like they have added new equipment and maybe cemented them into the ground so they couldn't fall over.
Oh, I forgot unless it has changed, they only have a park bench for people to sit on near the gate. There are not picnic tables and absolutely no shade.
