    Hmm you cannot sell your blood in NZ,don't know if they will ever do that, completely voluntary here.

    Sure you can....

    There are more than 400 for-profit plasma collection centers in the United States....
    Expect to earn up to $35 for each donation (twice a week max). Donors who have been vaccinated for hepatitis B can earn up to $60 per week.
    Not that I am recommending it!

    I have no clue. I've tried to give blood several times but something was always wrong.

    I am wondering do you all think it is ok to be paid to donate blood,? i am on the fence on this one,it is not done here in my country.

    I have never been paid -- and would never accept money for my blood. I donate because I like to do so.

    However, it has long been a way for college students, people down on their luck to make money. Unfortunately, far too few people donate blood without an incentive.

    I read an article about plasma collection stations that set up right on the US side of the border with Mexico. Mothers come over and sell their plasma to buy shoes for their children.

    Who am I to judge?
