My good friend Robin and I each brought our bears with us to college. Sophomore year, I found out she was several doors down from me instead of next door, so, as I was there first, I drew my bear on a note saying "hello!" and stuck it to her door.
Her mother saw it before she did, and was completely horrified that someone who drew that poorly could be even attending MassArt. Robin had to explain that I drew perfectly well, that THAT is what my bear looked like! (Hers is not much better - at least mine is still fuzzy!)
I've Been Frosted
I found a thing in the basement yesterday that reminds me a lot of my early childhood, and I remembered your thread...
This belonged to my grandma, she had it in her kitchen (it's an old pencil holder, has an opening on the back), and I loved to play with it. As far as I remember, the ear of the left pig was always missing). I don't know how old it is, but I guess my grandmother got it a long time before I was born.

Randi, I love your plate. It's great to have a special something from
childhood. I do have a dress ( rose colored velvet) that I wore when I
was about 4yrs old. I also have a picture of me wearing it.
I have no idea how I managed to hang on to it for so long.

Randi, your plate sure is adorable.I don't have anything here with me but I'm sure that my parents have a few childhood things of mine at their house.

Kirsten, those pigs on the sofa are really cute, and now I think about it, I have an ashtray shaped as a monkey packed in a box somewhere. Isn't it amazing what we keep all our lives! LOL! But then, some of these things may be worth something now, a pity the one ear is missing.
Lizbud, I might as well confess this too... I also have a dress or two from I was 3-4 years old. They are just so cute I couldn't chuck them out.![]()

Randi, well, you could be right and the pigs could be worth something if the ear wasn't missing. I don't even know how old it is, maybe my grandma had it from her own parents, who knows, the design looks like it could have been made in the late 1800s...
Oh, can't you take a picture of it?I also have a dress or two from I was 3-4 years old.Must be so cute!
I don't have any of my childhood clothes left, but I still have my first pair of shoes, and I once made a picture of them:
They don't look very comfy, do they? (And they probably weren't! LOL)
