I like swimming, and not just in summer! I swim for the school team sometimes - I can do races but mostly I go for the endurance tests. I can maintain a fairly good front crawl for a mile or so. It's odd, because if I ran that distance, I'd exhaust myself! I think it's probably because I have more upper body strength than leg strength thanks to horse-riding. One day, I'd like to swim the Channel for charity, like David Walliams did!![]()

In dressage I don't use my legs for too much other than squeezing and keeping still, but other riders that jump more than I do I understand use them a lot more. I wouldn't say my strength is in my arms though, it's probably more in my shoulders and back.
I have an in-ground pool and it's just the best. It's so refreshing. Swimming is probably one of my favorite things to do. I love kayaking, boating, tubing, water slides, etc. Mostly anything to do with water, I'll LOVE it!!
(aside from drowning that is)
