    That is really cool! I collected owls for a time too - and then somehow switched to angels. Anyway I have only seen one in the wild - that is so wonderful and I am glad you had your camera with you. Thanks for sharing!

    I remember once when I was very, very young there was an owl outside one night hooting. As a kid I didn't know what the heck it was, so my dad brought me outside and shined the flashlight around in the trees until we saw it and he pointed it out to me.

    That's the ONLY time I've EVER knowingly heard or seen an owl in the wild in my entire life!!! And they're supposed to be in Missouri, but it could have fooled me!
