HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIRK! Wow, I can't believe he is two already! I'm so glad he's doing better...way to go on the 5 mile hike! May I ask who the guy was Kirk was waiting for? This has to be one of the cutest photos I have ever seen, I hope you have it framed! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v8...d/IMG_0006.jpg My friend's aussie/border collie mix has a tendency to nibble noses when he's excited too, I wonder if that is a border collie thing?

Haha, just my cousin. Nice try, Amy!
Kirk likes nibbling noses and ears....maybe it is a border collie thing? Weirdos!
I haven't printed or framed that picture of the two of us, but you guys have got me convinced that I should! The same cousin in the picture is the one who took the photo of Kirk and me.

Many thanks to Roxyluvsme13 & k9krazee for my great new siggy!!

Well, it's about time. That picture is priceless. While you are at it get some prints of a few of the others too. You'll regret it later if you don't and you can't have too many pictures of your beautiful dog or yourself young.

I thought I'd replied to this already, but it doesn't look like I did, so....

    Happy Birthday, Kirk!!!

I can't believe he's 2 already! You two have been through so much together, and I'm so glad to hear how well he's doing. And I agree with everyone else, that picture of the both of you is very nice.

I've never met you before, Kirk, but you are certainly a beautiful dog. My cockapoo I had when I was a teenager had the same knee injury you did, so I know what a pain it is to get over that!! I hope your are fully recovered so you can run, and play, and hike all you want....I love your pictures, and I hope your human posts some more pictures of you, handsome guy!!

Hey, thanks for thinking of us!

Well I haven't been around much because I've been on vacation and in the middle of moving across an ocean! I'm in Northern Colorado now and I absolutely love it! My Mom is here with me and we're taking in all the sights. We're living out of a hotel for now because the lease on my new place doesn't start until August 1st. Later this month Amy (wolf_q) and I have some great Utah adventures planned! I am really looking forward to it. I'm sure we'll have plenty of pictures to share!

The hardest part of this trip will be saying goodbye to my Mom (we have 4 more days together) and being separated from Kirkie for 2 months! Kirk'ums has a great petsitter and a canine companion, but he's been a bit listless and isn't eating well. I'm not sure exactly what is going on with him, but there's not much I can do from here. I hope he perks up when my Mom gets back next week. Maybe send him some 'feel better' vibes if you are so inclined....he's already a skinny mini as it is! I hope he won't lose too much weight. BTW Kirk will join me here in Colorado in early September and I'm practically counting down the days!

Enough yabbering....here are some pictures of Kirk from my last few weeks in Hawaii!

    Ready for fetch and frisbee!

    What dirty tongue?

    Gettin' low...

If he can pull this pose...his hips can't be bothering him THAT much!

    More to come...

Many thanks to Roxyluvsme13 & k9krazee for my great new siggy!!

    How's this for red dirt??

The shower trees were full of blooms.

This is what the blossoms look like up close...and they smell divine!

    A bit tired...

....but pick up a tennis ball and he snaps back into action!

I finally got him a harness/seatbelt for riding in the car...he was not all that impressed.

In fact he just wanted to go back into the hatchback trunk area...haha, this one cracks me up!

Finally he has gotten used to it even though he thinks the A/C blowing on him is evil.

Thanks again for checking in on us!

P.S. I haven’t forgotten about the xray thread…and I promise I’ll get it posted before I start vet school.
Can you believe that I start in just 35 days????!?!?

Wow, Kirk is two! Sorry I didn't see this post earlier. Happy Belated Birthday Kirk! I am with all the others. You definitely need to get that picture framed!!! (My Snoopy had to be put down when he was just 5 and as I was looking through old pictures, I found I had very few of just him and me when he was younger or when he was older - other than ones of him laying on top of me when watching tv or reading).

The rest of the pictures are great! Kirk is definitely a cutie. Keep us informed as to how school is going and especially how Kirk is doing!
