Missouri hospitals aren't that great... and kind of OT but I thought all those sounded familiar until I looked at your location... My youngest sister had a myriad of kidney problems when she was younger and DR after DR after DR would either say that a) my mom was making it all up for attention, or B) they didn't know.

They finally took her to the Mayo clinic in Minnesota where they found she had an underdeveloped nerve in her kidneys and would need to be on medicine the rest of her life or she could die or have to have a new kidney.

I know that may not be feasible in her situation but if DRs aren't listening and things just don't "seem" right, you need to try and try until you find someone who does listen, even if you're wrong, some DRs are just so... impersonal nowadays, treating only the physical problems and not the mental ones. My mom "knew" something was wrong and didn't give up, even after DRs would look at her and honestly believed my mother was making my sister's problems up for attention! But she pressed until she got answers, and soon after that she got on her meds and... she's fine now

My prayers are with you and your family and if you ever need any help in my area please let me know and I will see what I can do!!

Preaching to the choir sister. Not only with Richie here but me too. G-ma knew something was wrong w/ my hips when I was a baby but the doctors thought she was just being dramatic. So they finally broke down and x-rayed me (and I'm quoting G-ma here) "so granny can rest easy". I had a square hip joint on my right side so my leg wasn't actually in the joint. Mom like to say I was stubborn as a child and trying to put a round leg into a square joint.

My aunt Mary seems to trust Little Rock and the staff down there so I'm trusting her gut for right now.

I hope Richie realizes that cutting his junk food makes him part of the medical team...there are things only HE can do that the drs can't. And it's really important.

Hopefully some healthier yet yummy snack food is out there somewhere.

Any idea when the other tests will be?

It's great that he's getting a good going-through. Prayers that whatever it is can be easily treated.

Richie knows he's got to watch what he eats. He just slips sometimes (don't we all) and needs a little push back in the right direction. He'll do fine. I just remember being 18 and living off pizza and mac and cheese during college.

I can't remember the exact date off the top of my head. I'll ask Rich again when he comes in for his home schooling.

I've heard the one at Little Rock is actually pretty amazing. We used to live in Branson and if any happened, I would much rather be taken there than Skaggs... Skaggs was so so awful... treated us like absolute dirt.... especially if you were there on worker's comp, like when HJ broke his foot at work, they would always put you last in line and make you wait for HOURS before letting you in.
