    Canine Concentration...pics

There is something in that tree...

Mac is absolutely sure of it!

    Such focus and concentration!

Obsessed Bandit..."Just drop my dinner here, Mom, I'm kinda busy."

Only Heyoka was distracted by dinner. Dinner is the highlight of his day!

If we woo softly, maybe it will come down.

Or we could try running around the tree and yelling! That could work too.

What was in the tree........Nothing! An imaginary squirrel perhaps, maybe a real squirrel, but it was long gone by the time I took these pics!

Handsome Bandit swears he is not delusional and there really was a squirrel!

Miz Cinder likes the <run> & <SHOUT> technique!

Form a deep sleep she'll jump up <BARKING> and dash to the dining room window ...
*Alarm BARKIN* at full volume ... which brings a *Grrrin* Smokey on the run.

Cinder <BARKS> and Smokey *whiiiiines* till I arrive to check the problem ...

    The Cause??

Beats me --- I never see a thing out there.
... but it's quiet now ~ the silly "Guard Dawg" is already sound asleep again!

I believe you Bandit. You and Mac were staring so hard I could almost see it myself. And Heyoka, sweetie, I just want to wrap my arms around you and give you a great big bear hug. What a wonderful happy face. Mom must have made a really good dinner tonight.

Yes, there was, Mom. There really, really was. I have witnesses who saw it! I am right there with Ginger's Mom, I want to hop through the monitor and give you all some hugs.

Maybe there was a "Wandering Spirit" up in that tree as well as on the ground!

Great camera capture! I am sure there WAS something up there, once upon a time. Once had a blue jay tease a dog when I was a kid, just sat in a tree and chattered for ages, driving the poor doggie nuts! (there was a jay nest further up.)

It is amazing how focused they can get!

    Awww!!! So cute.

I see a lot of this at the dog park. Dogs will be running along and then will just stop and stare straight up intently. It takes a moment but then I usually spot the squirrel doing dare devil leaps from limb to limb.
