A shamrock is a flower that has itself painted up to look like a rock. It then lays around trying to fool people into thinking it is, indeed a rock. Hench the name sham rock.

No, it's actually a stainless steel pot. They really do, but they can get jam or jelly more easily- and they don't risk being stung in the process.
