On the topic of sleeping with cats - my dear departed girl kitty was a challenge, to be sure. She started a habit of sleeping ON MY HEAD from the time she was a baby. She would start out by wrapping herself around my neck, under my chin, but eventually would end up directly on top of the side of my head at some point in the night. She would also start her 90 decibel purr, which was being funneled directly into my ear. Add to this my husband's snoring, and it was a wonder I could get any sleep at night. When she would finally get off my head (usually when I started suffocating in cat fur and pushed her off), she would then travel down to my (excuse this bad visual) groin area, where she would curl up directly between my legs at the highest point. I remember waking up in a most obscene position many times, with my legs splayed as far apart as they could go so as not to disturb my precious kitty. Boy kitty, on the other hand, is very considerate. He works with me during the night to avoid being crushed, instead of the other way around. I usually wake up and find him alongside me. In the winter months, he will sometimes come under the covers alongside, with just his little head sticking out.
I think somebody should start a thread about kitties in the bedroom in general - I don't want to be the first one to mention some antics that happened during ...............
