I talked to the vet last night. Nothing conclusive came from the test. So, it's antibiotics for another week. If the swelling doesn't go down, he'll be brought in for an exray to see if the lump is going into the bone. He said he's seen both types of lumps so we'll just have to wait and see. Thanks for your kind words and concern.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Oh, I hate those words, let's wait and see! I am not the patient type. Hope all goes well and the lump goes away or isn't anything to worry about.

The wait is torture. Praying the antibiotics clear up Dasher's lump and all will be well. Keeping you and Dasher in my thoughts, always, Val.

Looks like I'll be taking him in for an ex-ray. I checked his toe today and the sore on top has opened back up and is draining something between clear/bloody stuff. I'm not worried about his toe coming off as much as I'm worried about him being there with his separation anxiety and knowing how he feels about being kenneled. He totally destroyed my metal kennel I had. I don't want him to go backwards in the progress we've made. I get sick just thinking of him there.

Oh Val, great big {{{hugs}}} to you. This has to be so hard for you. I won't say Lacey has separation anxiety but she cannot be kenneled. She has however been left at the vets, in a kennel, many times. Maybe it's just different. Hopefully if Dasher has to stay a bit he will be fine. I am keeping him in my prayers.
