You did the right thing, even though it hurts. Snowy is hopping around @ the bridge, and eating until she is stuffed. Remember that you will meet again, and until then she is happy @ the RB. RIP Snowy

I am so sorry about the loss of your beautiful Snowy girl. It is so terrible when we lose them and even feels worse when they are taken so suddenly. Even if the outlook was 100% bad and no chance at all we always second guess ourselves and think well she/he could have been the one to pull through despite everything. We are given the responsiblity to do what is right for them and you did what was best. It was better than having Snowy suffer and have you and Benny suffer with her. You did what was best. She is hopping happily at RB now with my mom's RB Bandit. Her ending was peaceful and she is perfectly healthy again. I am sure she will be watching over you and Benny and will be right by your side whenever you need her.

RIP Snowy. You are loved and missed. Remember to look in on mommy now and then and keep Benny company when he needs it ok.

Oh Monica i am so sorry. That must have been so hard for you. how is benny taking the loss? is he lonely? Are you going to get another rabbit? Snowy is at peace now.

Thank you my dear friends for your kind words. Yes it has been so hard, I think of her 24/7. In just a little bit Steve will go outside and bury her for me. I have found a lovely spot which I can see outside my kitchen window. As for Benny. He is so sad, so sad. Last night he growled at me for the first time ever. He is not eating his hay, or his fresh greens that I buy daily. He is only eating treats and a carrot if I hold it. This morning he finally ate a few pellets. He is so upset. He refuses to let me hold him, which was never the case before. I have no idea how long he will be this way, how long bunnies grieve. I am looking for another bun for him. I saw on the petfinders website two bunnies in errent need of a home. They are about 100 miles away and I am not sure if the foster mom would drive that far. One sweet bun has been in foster for a year and not had one person ask about her, isn't that just too sad? As with Snowy I didn't care what the bunny looked like just that she was sweet for Benny is. And I wanted them to get along and love each other. I just want Benny to be happy. So I will start my bunny search.
