We'd take you out to dinner - someplace the muttlies could come and help celebrate - if only you were a tad - okay, several states - closer! All the birthdays in my family are sanfwiched in next to some other holiday or event - my birthday is the day after my Dad's but he can still never remember whether it is before his or after! But thankfully, we all know that about him - keeping track of birthdays was Ma's department - so there are no hard feelings.

Sending you great big hugs, okay? I'll try not to leave bruises, even.

It doesn't help that I've got a horrible headcold and a messed up knee.

Ooh, okay - make yourself a good strong cup of tea. You don't even have to drink it, just inhale the steam, that'll help with the head cold (tea with lemon and honey if you're a tea drinker), and rest the mug on the sore knee - the warmth might feel good! Make sure there's a towel or fabric between the knee and the mug though - don't need to burn the skin and add insult to injury! (Reminding myself that you are in Florida, so might be wearing shorts!)

Ohh dear, I know that feeling and it *hurts*. But I've come to realize that it's not really about celebrating our birthdays on that special day. It's really what they do for us every day - running errands, doing little favors, loving us for who we are (lol, that's a biggie

).

I really hope your birthday gets better!

I'm sorry your birthday hasn't been so great however I think Giselle is right ... everyday is special when you have people who love you for you. You are a very giving person and always the first to step up for others around you and that sets a very high standard. I know your family and friends appreciate you for who you are and all that you do for them - they may sometimes not know how to show it as well as you do. Take a long deep breath and do something special for yourself.

My memory is not good - but I think Kay lives in Canada???

So our Turkey Day was the US's Columbus Day.

Next turkey day Dec 25th!
