If you buy an HP, (especially a low end HP) you are getting:

A proprietary motherboard which may or may not be compatible with future upgrades.

Integrated video memory (which isn't going to help with speed)

On-board graphics, as opposed to a separate graphics card

limited (or non-existent) expansion slots

and a "free" 17" monitor........which really means you're buying a $200 computer, a $150 monitor, and they're only charging you $500 for it.
