Is this really the sort of guy we’re talking about here? Surely this isn’t typical of our Phred?
Example:
MARGOT : Oh, God I dreamed.
LAMONT : So did I. What did you dream?
MARGOT : I was lying naked on a beach in the South Seas. The tide was coming up to my toes. The sun was moving down. My skin hot and cool at the same time. It was wonderful. What was yours?
LAMONT : I dreamed I tore all the skin off my face and was somebody else underneath.
MARGOT : You have problems.
LAMONT : I'm aware of that.
NEWS FLASH!
"And finally, in the news, a local doctor pleas for a prominent patient to come see him. Dr. Mark LeGrand, Chief Surgeon at Mercy General Hospital, claims that The Shadow forced his way into his home last night and ordered him to remove a bullet (or claw?) from his arm. Dr. LeGrand says he operated on the mysterious man, but when he tried to call the hospital to reserve a room for his patient, The Shadow disappeared. Dr. LeGrand says The Shadow's life is in grave danger and begs him to return for further treatment with the promise that he will not notify the police if he does. And now, the weather..."
... OR COULD IT BE THAT THE SHADOW
IS REALLY BOOTS THE CAT!
