I'm sure I don't know why. The land mine is a nasty, underhanded weapon that maims and kills. Cats are morally upright creatures who use only the weapons God gave them. And I see only kitties in the picture.

I'm sure if you ask politely, and, if necessary, use the "move along there" toe nudge, you should have no trouble negotiating the stairs.
