yes, you will have to follow him, after he eats, it shouldnt be long before he uses the box. do you ever feed him canned food? that will hurry him to the box! I thought the same thing, it will be covered with litter, but it doesn't matter...and didnt the vet give you a little plastic container for the sample? thats what you bring it in to them in.

I remember once having to wait and watch for one of them to go, can't remember which one now, maybe it was Emma.
