Yeah I have to agree. When having a conversation with someone the last thing I think about is how the person talks or says a certain word. It's really not their fault that they have a certain accent if that is the way the grew up. That's what they knew growing up and that's how they are used to saying it. The phrase "I want to smack someone" makes me think of the persons personality a little.
