8 months later, guess who is coming to live with us, permanently? BEN!!!!!! He is coming tomorrow and if Mack handles it well, which I think he will, I am going to have that precious boy back here with us. His owners love him so much, but their life is getting ready to change and they want what is best for him. Todd is going back to school and will be moving from place to place for training and they were worried about how it will affect Ben.

Helen and I spent a long time with them last night and I might just have "buddy" again, that can do therapy work with me, go to work with me, etc etc etc. Honey and Mack are awfully special, but they are not equipped mentally and physically to do the things I enjoyed with Lilly. Ben will never replace Lilly, but we all recognized that I needed her more than we ever knew and I have missed her so much and the things we did together. Scott is agreeable to this, although he has never met Ben, since he was out of town when Ben was here before. And he is out of town now, too. But, he ok, and Helen is ok, and they both support me on this.

I am so happy that I could dance!!!! I'll keep you posted!!!

I took my camera last night, Randi, but I didn't take any pictures. But I will, I promise!!!!

I'm leaving for Atlanta, right now, to go spend the night with my husband, who is working down there. I'll be back tomorrow and will pick Ben up, then.

PS. We're having a major downpour of rain. I'm so glad I didn't leave yet because poor Mack and Honey would have been outside in the dreaded thunder!!!!

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.

Ha Ha! I think it is Mack that has to pass the test! I'm not worried about Ben. I haven't gotten him yet. I'm back from Atlanta, but need to finish my work before I go get him. And I won't go get him before I have time to take Mack on a long walk to work off some of that energy. Long walk has a very different meaning for an English Bulldog in the SC summers. We will walk around the block! LOL!!!

If everything goes well the next couple of days and Ben adjusts to being one of three, rather than an only dog, and Mack behaves himself, we will go through the formal adoption process with Foothills Golden Retriever Rescue. Ben's current family will officially "return" him (on paper), and Scott, Helen and I will officially "adopt" him. Oh dear mercy, I hope it is going to be ok. I am so excited I can hardly stand it, although I do hurt for his mom and dad, who are going to miss him so much. I just appreciate the fact that they trusted me enough to ask me to do this.

I'll update you guys, later today!
