That makes 64 ounces of puppies or four pounds. My goodness, mom Sheena! I'm glad they are all healthy so far and it doesn't sound like anything worrisome has happened. Fingers crossed. I really did need some good news today. July 10th, happy birth-day Puppies!

Yay! So exciting. I posted earlier but I guess it didn't post.
At least she started to deliver at a nice time instead of the middle of the night.

The 6th male pup was born at 8:35pm. He is 11oz and 9 inchs long. We are not sure if she has anymore since the vet told us 6 for sure but was thinkiing there was at least one or two more that she could not see. So there could be more. Maybe our girl hiding in there still. lol All the pups are healthy, energetic and vocal and Sheena is still doing great.

Nope, no girls. Which is ok(even though a girl was what our heart was set on to keep this dream going) because we have 7 beautiful, strong vocal boys. And yes I am keeping one. Even though they gave me a sleepless night last night and my body feels like it has been hit by a truck, these pups have already gotten into my heart and I will have a hard time sending them to their new familes when they are old enough.

Anyway off to get ready. Have the vet visit today to make sure Sheena is empty and the pups are doing well. I will let you all know how it goes when I get back.

Just weighed all the boys. I had expected them to lose some weight before gaining. So I was suprised to note that all the pups gained weight. Not one lost any. Some gained a lot, and some only .1oz but it is gaining none the less. Here is how it is today versus when they were first born.

Dark blue collared male - At birth: 14oz, Now 14.7oz
Dark Yellow collared male - At birth: 11.4oz, Now 11.5oz
Green collared male - At Birth: 13.3oz, Now 13.9oz
Light Blue collared Male - At Birth: 15.4oz, Now 1.04 LBS
Red Collared Male - At Birth: 9.9oz, Now 10.5oz
Rainbow Collared Male - At Birth: 11oz, Now 11.1oz
Light Yellow Collared Male - At Birth 14.7oz, Now 15.2oz

So they have all gained. Yippee. Now to wait to phone the vet to go see her.
