I'm an extremely shy person, much more so in person than on the internet, but I'm pretty shy on the internet too.

In person I'm usually pretty shy and it takes me a bit to feel comfortable with most people. On the internet I can be somewhat shy but not usually.

To all you shy folks, don't be afraid. Come to a Pet Talk gathering sometime, and I will be sure to talk to you - I have always found shy people a bit of a personal challenge, and have made many friends (including my best friend and husband - Paul) by getting to know shy folks. I am not afraid of much of anything - even when I probably should be. I guess I just didn't get that gene at all!

Outside of my online life, I'm shy to the point of being nearly anti-social. I honestly don't know how I ended up with so many friends, lol. When I'm out and about, I can't help but to feel small, insignificant, and extremely self-concious, but on PT all that seems to go away. On PT I really feel at home, and I feel like I can turn to you guys and trust you with ANYTHING, which is something I can't really do with people in person.

I'm VERY shy in person. If I get to know you then I'll talk your head off but at first it'll take me quite a while to get to talking.

On the internet, I'm the biggest blabbermouth there is. I'm sure you've noticed by my 8,070 posts.

I used to be very shy, to the point that when I was little I hid behind my mom, haha. But I've overcome that a lot in the past year or so, especially in the last 6-7 months. In December I met two guys that really helped me overcome it and they are still two of my best friends now. I don't know if they even know that they helped me but I really just felt comfortable around them because they are very silly like me and it kinda made me realize that I just needed to be who I am. I started college on Monday and was excited but I was also nervous that I would clam up again and not make many friends (this was a problem for me in public school ...) but I have already made quite a few friends and have been pretty outgoing in class, whereas I used to be very quiet. I'm not shy on the internet but I don't post much, anymore at least, because I don't spend too much time on the computer.

That's so kind of you Karen I wish I could go to the PT gatherings, but there is never any within decent driving distance for me lol. I said I am in the middle. If the new person I try to talk to isn't shy then I'm not either, if I have something in common with someone new then I'm not shy. But if the new person is extremely shy with me then I am usually shy with them as well.
