My very first thought was that it would be good to keep Bon separated from now on until all other dogs are done eating.

I also think that hand feeding him for a while would be a good idea. (Though i don't know how that would work with the raw ;-/p )

I do think that there is more of a likeliness of food aggression with the raw because it is much better tasting and therefore more valued. A slight increase. Not much. Also could it be that Bon might not be getting enough and is a bit hungry and felt that he had to lash out? (Not at you but going after another's meal.) (I'm not trying to imply anything, I'm just trying to explore all possibilities.)

Huney didn't take her food when I gave it to her so I went ahead and gave Roxey her food, then gave Bon his. A little bit later Huney came up on the porch so I offered her food to her again and this time she took it. Bon seen us and left his food and came running up to us.

One of them growled. I have no idea who started it, but they started fighting. Of course I know I shouldn't have gotten in between them but instead pulled Bon's legs out from under him, but at that moment all I could think of was to get him off her. I grabbed his collar and tried to pull him off her. Next thing going through my head is "I think he bit me."
I finally got him off her and into a corner and had him in a head lock trying to calm him down. For some reason Huney came over to us and got right under his legs This I don't understand at all.
I finally got her away from us and walked him out to the kennel and locked him up and brought Huney in the house.
At this time I realize blood is pouring down my leg and I'm trying to figure out what to do. I looked down and not only do I have punctures but there was fatty tissue hanging out of one of them
I get the phone, get into the tub and call Mark and he came home and took me to the hospital.

Do you know how embarrassing it is to tell people that your dog bit you? It made me just want to cry. I know this is bad but I just kept thinking "Angus never bit me."

The doctor was shocked when she seen my leg and said it was impressive. I'm definitely not impressed with it

I did have to get a tetanus shot, intravenous antibiotics and a total of 6 stitches. She said she really didn't like to put stitches in bites but the punctures were just too big not put a few in. I wasn't at the hospital long, around 3 hours or so and now I'm off work till Tuesday.
She sent me home with a prescription for Augmentin and Vicodin for pain (not that it really helps much.) I go to have the stitches out in 10 days. Until then I'm to rest and keep my leg elevated.

The dogs are getting along just fine now, as if nothing ever happened. I fed the girls outside as usual and fed Bon in his crate.

Now I feel like I'm nervous about everything and feel like just going back to dry dog food, but who knows...will they fight over that too

I told my mom and now she's worried about me because Bon is so big. She's afraid something will happen to me. I tried to calm her by telling her that his aggression wasn't directed towards me but it didn't seem to make her feel any better.
I don't want to tell any fiends or family for the fear that they will not want to come over any more and think I have a "viscous" dog although I did tell the girl who dog sat for me and she stopped by last night to see me and the dogs, it didn't seem to phase her at all. She said she isn't afraid to watch them any more now than before...that made me feel good

My leg looks absolutely terrible. I'm going to attach some pictures, so if your grossed out by things like this don't look

I wanted to tell this story to let everyone know that dogs are still dogs. Just try to not make the same mistake I did. Think before you step between two dogs, even if they are your own.
