She looks exactly like my grandcat Gabe. Unfortunately Gabe must have been the result of poor breeding because he had a nasty streak a mile wide. The only people he didn't attack were my daughter and her husband. Thanks to this wonderful place called Pet Talk my daughter was able to re-home him to Sallyanne (sasvermont) where he got along beautifully with her two kitties at the time, Miley and Graemer. Sadly, Graemer and Gabe passed away but they did have a few good months together. The story is here somewhere at PT if you would be interested in doing a search.

I say all of that to say that this is not the first time, or even the second or third time, that I have heard of ragdolls with bad attitudes. I am imagining that is the real reason her former humans are giving her up. It is so sad when this happens. Money can be made by breeding these beautiful kitties and they are just money making tools for the wrong people. I do hope this beautiful girl will find a permanent home where she can live happily ever after.

    Pumpkin the Ragdoll

What a beautiful kitty!!! It must be hard for a kitty to suddenly be cut out of the family she thought would be hers furever then find herself in new and strange surroundings with people she doesn't know. But with your patience, love, and care Pumpkin will learn to trust again.

I'm in awe of Pumpkin's size, do ragdolls typically grow that big?

This is a photo of Gabe, Robyn's cat, referenced in an earlier post... and yes, he was a grump. Sweet, but a grump.

    I miss him.

But he loved my one cat, Graemer...aka Grammy Crackers....

    RIP guys!

What a big, fluffy kitty! I hope the person who meets her next week either adopts her, or someone else will take her in to a forever home. She is beautiful.

She's a big 'un alright! Don't even try to understand the people who wanted to get rid of her. They're not worth the brain power. I'm just glad you got her away from them. Fingers and paws crossed that she'll go to a permanent home.
    Blessings,
    Mary

That is one BIG cat! I don't understand people either. How can you just PTS something because you don't want it any more. I feel that when you get an animal, you make commitment to that animal for life! Same as if you have a child!
