I believe that the demagogue in question could be any of the leaders in any of the countries in the Midde East who have to have complete control over everything and make women subservient.

While Bush is a flaming, screaming, idiot, I don't think he quite qualifies as a demagogue.

I have a hard time calling the Papacy during the crusades the leadership part of the "catholic" church. Falls under the same heading as OBL claiming to be the the Caliph.

I agree with you Mugsy. He is not smart enough to be a demagogue. That why I didn't name him but rather his administration. I believe that Cheney in particular has demagogue tendencies and desires....

LH...I would agree wholeheartedly with your statement!! The Papacy was a joke back then...just another reason I think priests should be able to marry...takes a lot more morality than what the first popes showed.
