    one of my my moslem patients told me about this this morning. what kind of religious faith needs to keep women in such subservience that this is right?

    More pain, suffering and death have happened due to peoples reglious beliefs then any other. Wars are mostly the result of reglious beliefs. How frigging sad is that?

    Wars are mostly the result of economic and population problems which are frequently twisted to appear to be religious. Prime examples? The Crusades and the current issues in the Middle East.

    A good demagogue can make people believe damned near anything.

    LH, what makes you think you have the one unasailable, true answer to
    the reasons behind the crusades? Many learned scholars have studied this
    subject & most can't yet agree on all the reasons.
