    Our crocuses didn't do very well this year, thanks for posting such gorgeous pictures of yours. My grape hyacinths were busting out all over, though. I love purple flowers!

    I took pics of crocuses here in Alberta a couple of weeks ago - I haven't seen the brilliant colour of yours. Ours are a paler purple and FUZZY!

    Are you sure these are crocusses? They look completely different from our purple crocusses, in fact they look a lot like "pulsatilla"

    Their common name is the Prairie Crocus. Scientific name might be completely different, but yes, around here, those are crocus.
