I never considered it, until I got all these guys. But such classes aren't available up here and I could never afford this pack on what a vet tech makes. They are grossly underpaid! I have occasionally stayed and acted as a tech--usually for an after hours call!

The boys are home. Hobo is essentially his usual self. A little calmer, but that's it. He lost five teeth--the three big molars on his upper left jaw, one on the right and one of the smaller teeth on the right. He ate a bit of canned food for dinner without any trouble. He does love his food! He wants to go outside and play but he's not real stable on his feet right now.

Pacer looks like h#ll! Stuart says he looks like a gargoyle. Some of the tissue underneath the original puncture had died. So they had to open his face up a bit and take out the dead tissue. They stitched that up, but left the bottom open so the infection and other assorted disgusting things could drain out. Blood on a white dog is even more awful looking than it is on a darker dog! I have to flush Pacer's wound twice a day and blot up the discharge regularly. It's disgusting. He has to wear an ecollar for a week or so. The bite-not collar doesn't keep him from pawing his face so he can't wear that!
