    Dear Hobo,

I heard you are going to have some teeth out. I just had a nasty broken molar removed a couple of weeks ago. Here's some tips:

    1. Look pathetic as long as possible. The humans are suckers for that big-eyed stare and downturned mouth. Even better if you can wrinkle your forehead a bit too.

    2. Don't let them catch you eating your kibble enthusiastically too soon. If they feel sorry for you, they will give you all sorts of tender goodies that are usually off limits.

    3. Enjoy being in the limelight for a while, after all, we seniors aren't going to be around forever and this is a little reminder to your people.

    4. Happy dances are allowed!

All in all, it wasn't so bad getting dental work done after all. And I can still chew anythig I want to.

    Wooos to you,

    Star

Poor Hobo. You will be fine without a few teefies. I wonder if they make dog dentures?? Hugs to you!!
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

I'll be thinking of Hobo and hope the surgery goes smoothly. He's a tough little guy, I have a feeling he will hardly notice any difference!

I love this. I can just hear them saying this. Hobo - you're in my prayers. I hate teeth pain myself - and doggies tolerate so much more. I'm routing for you. We all love you here at PT even though we've never met you. Sending kisses and hugs.

Mommy - by the way, did you do a geriatric screening before scheduling the surgery? I started doing screenings when my dogs reached 9 years and older. It's a safer way of making sure the seniors are "okay" enough for surgery.

    -Monday-
Did Hobo get his teefies out today?
(Maybe I'm asking too early, it's after 7 pm here, not sure of the time difference)

It's just after four here. I can't pick them up til 5. I called at 2:00 and they were just finishing Hobo's surgery. Vet said "so far so good". Pacer had to go in today too, an unscheduled emergency drop-off. He is apparently awake and doing well too. I don't even want to think about what the bill for today is going to be!

Pooooor Pacer! Hopefully all of it will heal up quickly now. Yuck, I don't envy you, it sounds awful.
I'm glad Hobo is his happy self, I love that little guy! Hugs & skritches to both of them.

Awww, Pacer. Poor baby. You know, if you wanted tennis balls sweetie, all you had to do was ask. Now, if you want some tennis balls of your own I'd be happy to send you some so you leave Miss Pingo and her tennis balls alone. I do hope your sweet doggie face feels better soon.

Hobo, glad to hear you're doing so well. Remember, you need to milk the recovery some though buddy.

Oh, wow, poor Pacer. That sounds horrible. I imagine Pingo feels terribly. I'm sorry it turned out so nasty (both for Pacer and for you!).

You mentioned vet techs are underpaid...I forget what you and Stuart do for a living, care to share? (I know I've asked before, but I forget!)

Goodness...Don't know how I've missed all of this but I'm sending big hugs to all!!

Glad to hear everyone is home and doing fine now

    Tamara just a question...
Do huskies normally have a lot of problems with their teeth? Just wondering if this is something I'm going to look forward to as Roxey gets older.
