That's such a cool carousel! My brother lived down the street from there when he was doing his post graduate work at Brown, so I got to see it a couple of times.

There are a lot of neat places around San Diego.

San Diego Wild Animal Park
The Battle of San Pasqual - Probably one of the better known battles in California. There are a lot of historical battle fields and sites around my house.
Lake Hodges - Home of Hodgee the Lake Monster. I kayak there and swear there have been some random waves sweep across the lake. I always joke and say Hodgee mus have an upset stomach.
