Columbus is beautiful? I disagree - since I live right by High Street, and I attend the OSU. It's filthy, but.. it is a very nice campus..

LOL! You need to get out more! Don't let the area around Ohio State be your biggest impression of Columbus. They have a good Art Museum, fabulous Main Library (check it out), and several specialty museums. Schools also include Columbus State, and the Columbus College of Art & Design, a very good art school. Downtown also has German Village, and the High St. Gallery strip (very hip).
The inner city & area surrounding campus are pretty run down, but there are sooo many really lovely places around the Columbus area out towards the suburbs like Grandview, Bexley (the Franklin Conservatory is gorgeous), Worthington (lived there for 5 years), Dublin, and Delaware. I wish we were moving back to the Columbus area.

Interesting thread! Well I live about an hour from Manchester so there's a lot of sights there, such as the Manchester eye, Old Trafford (woo!), lots of museums and Manchester Uni. More 'natural' sites nearby are the Forest of Bowland and Fountains Abbey, and also in Ribchester which is just a 1/2 hour away there are plenty of Roman ruins!

Ok ok ok, haha, I have gone out a few times -- out to Worthington & Dublin. I like Dublin a lot, nice area! I have seen the Columbus College of Art & Design... pretty sweet school -- I could never afford to go there. I have visited the art muesum, which is a very nice place..

    What's haizing?

My school's band just came back from Carnegie Hall in NY, and we're the first school to ever have 2 band groups selected to go to this certain Carnegie Hall event. ^_^ Only 6 bands from across the world get picked.

Not really. There are 4 categories for tallest building and it holds one. I think it's tallest floor or something. The other categories are tallest overall, tallest outdoor roof, and tallest indoor celing, I believe.

um, when I was in 7th grade some senior girls really attacked some juniors at a powderpuff footbal game. There were serious injuries and unpleasant substances including dog poop thrown.

OOO was that the one where the girls got the crap beat out of them and I think a bunch of girls' legs were broken and stuff? I remember that I think mostly because that's all my mom talked about, how not to fall into peer pressure and whatnot.

That's such a cool carousel! My brother lived down the street from there when he was doing his post graduate work at Brown, so I got to see it a couple of times.

There are a lot of neat places around San Diego.

    San Diego Wild Animal Park
The Battle of San Pasqual - Probably one of the better known battles in California. There are a lot of historical battle fields and sites around my house.
Lake Hodges - Home of Hodgee the Lake Monster. I kayak there and swear there have been some random waves sweep across the lake. I always joke and say Hodgee mus have an upset stomach.
Birch Aquarium at Scripps La Jolla
La Jolla coves and underwater park
    Gaslamp district
    Old Town San Diego
    USD
    UCSD
    SDSU
    Seaworld
    World Famous San Diego Zoo
The Whaley House - A United States Department of Commerce authentic haunted house.
    The Point Loma Light House

    And a whole lote more.
