What places, historic sites, colleges, etc, do you live near?

I live near Cleveland, the mistake by the Lake. We do have the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Case Western University, Ohio State is two hours away in beautiful Columbus. Cleveland is a dumpy, filty city. I so want to leave and move elsewhere. Seattle I wish I could afford you. England you are calling me. Yet here I am stuck in this ugly place........

Cornell University(about 1 hour away, Used to live 5 mins away)
Howes Caverns(about 2 hours away)
Albany(State Capitol, about 2 hours away, used to live there)
Susquehanna River(about 2 mins away)
Saratoga Race track(Oldest Horse Track In America, 2 hours away)

Columbus is beautiful? I disagree - since I live right by High Street, and I attend the OSU. It's filthy, but.. it is a very nice campus..

LOL! You need to get out more! Don't let the area around Ohio State be your biggest impression of Columbus. They have a good Art Museum, fabulous Main Library (check it out), and several specialty museums. Schools also include Columbus State, and the Columbus College of Art & Design, a very good art school. Downtown also has German Village, and the High St. Gallery strip (very hip).
The inner city & area surrounding campus are pretty run down, but there are sooo many really lovely places around the Columbus area out towards the suburbs like Grandview, Bexley (the Franklin Conservatory is gorgeous), Worthington (lived there for 5 years), Dublin, and Delaware. I wish we were moving back to the Columbus area.

Ok ok ok, haha, I have gone out a few times -- out to Worthington & Dublin. I like Dublin a lot, nice area! I have seen the Columbus College of Art & Design... pretty sweet school -- I could never afford to go there. I have visited the art muesum, which is a very nice place..
