If it is bothering the dog, I'd take him/her to the vet.

Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.
Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

I can touch it and it doesn't bother her....I dont think she even knows about it...but I'm afraid of it getting infected
Does it appear to be bloody? You said it's red. And is it getting bigger?
If you're afraid of infection, then definitely take her to the vet. It'd help put your mind at ease. And hopefully it will not be anything you need to worry about. Please let us know what the vet says.

I am no vet but that looks very similar to when my guys get contact allergies.
Which is why my dobies all eat out of crockery now as the palstics, stainless steel and the glazed pottery gave them contact allergies on their noses and chins.
Merry Holidays to One an All Blessed be
I agree with the above posts.
It could also be caused by him rubbing it on something, like a crate, fence, kennel, etc..
The small circle part of it, when zoomed in on almost looks like a burn, a small round burn like a cigarette or something??
If it isn't getting any better after a few days &/or seems to be bother the dog in any way then I suggest you take a trip to your vets.
Good luck.
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.
thanks for all the friendly replies, and the sircle part is actually just a scab i think....its gone now....now its scarred, and when I say it red I mean like....irritated and sore looking...but once again it doesn't bother the dog...and she doesn't have anything really to rub up against....now that I think about it we have a really soft rounded how...anyways I'll bring her to the vet anyways....I sure I'll get some ointment or something...k thanks for the help everyone!!!
